Radio, Radio

Heads up, TavernWench readers...

I'll be appearing tonight on the most excellent Progressive Blend Radio to talk about the national attention Ohio is receiving in terms of our Primary Election on March 4th, as well as blogging and Cincinnati in general.

You can listen to the "More Me Show" hosted by DJ Downtown online here:

http://www.progressiveblendradio.com/

My segment should appear between 6:00 and 7:00 pm tonight, but please listen to the entire show. It's hosted by "anonymous" DC Insiders and I'm intrigued by what they think of Ohio's role in the presidential race, and Cincinnati's role in particular. Tune in!

I was tuning in the shine on the light night dial
Doing anything my radio advised
With every one of those late night stations
Playing songs bringing tears to my eyes
I was seriously thinking about hiding the receiver
When the switch broke 'cause it's old
They're saying things that I can hardly believe
They really think we're getting out of control
Radio is a sound salvation
Radio is cleaning up the nation
They say you better listen to the voice of reason
But they don't give you any choice 'cause they think that it's treason
So you had better do as you are told
You better listen to the radio

- Elvis Costello, "Radio Radio"

Deep Election Thought

Could John McCain's stump speech suck harder? I'm watching it now on CNN.

Ever notice how he either looks directly at the teleprompter, or reads from index cards only slightly better than Paul Metzler in "Election"?

Oh, and the content isn't any better than the delivery.

That's really all I have today. Thanks. :-)

I'm fine, how are you?

Hello everyone....

Just a quick note to let my concerned readers know that I'm fine, alive and well! Just suffering from blogging-block, and getting a little too obsessed with the presidential campaign for my own good.

My little break is just lasting longer than I intended. I'll be back soon with more tales from behind the bar... promise. :-)
